This first campaign for the A400M has achieved it's objectives, but it is only the start of a long process for the aircraft to be ready for operational status.
The French defence says, "Ground activities have clarified the number of paratroopers equipped FELIN heavy version of the fighter in all parachuting (EPC) capable of carrying airborne operations in future mass release and experiment with tie downs and positions of the type of support package Milan and 81 mm mortars needed to set vertical ground assault of the infantry company of the 2nd REP.
Aviation activities, in turn, were used to validate the procedures ask assault personnel and vehicles, to form the first crew chiefs aéroportage TAP STAT and lead the 2nd REP the making by Land aéroportage from A400M. The regiment is the first unit of the 11th Brigade parachutist to work with the new aircraft."
